Our Approach

At WAYS, our educational approach is shaped by kindness, patience and a strong belief in our students. We design professional dance training that reflects the realities of the contemporary dance field. We believe that dancers need more than technical skill. They need mental resilience, artistic adaptability and professional awareness to work in demanding rehearsal and production environments.

We maintain close dialogue with choreographers, producers and performers. These connections help us keep the progra relevant to the ever-evolving dance field. Consistent expectations, honest feedback and a transparency support confidence and long-term growth.

WAYS is led by Freya Pauwels, Artistic and General Director of the program. Over the past fifteen years, she has built an international career as a dancer, aerial performer, choreographer and creative entrepreneur. Her mission is to make the dance industry a safer place, with more informed, critical and therefore conscious dancers who are capable of becoming the captains of their own dance careers.
